The Barnes Group Advisors partners with Purdue Engineering Online for Additive Manufacturing Certification Program

Additive Manufacturing Certification Program Coming to Purdue Engineering Online

We’re thrilled to share the news of our partnership with Purdue University & Purdue Engineering Online to offer a new Additive Manufacturing Certification Program, written & facilitated by our ADDvisor® Services team. Purdue Engineering Online is ranked No. 5 in Best Online Graduate Engineering Programs by the U.S. News & World Report; we believe we’ve partnered with the best to create this program.

The non-credit certificate program, which is expected to launch by January, is offered in a convenient format and tailored to students at the engineer/manager and executive levels. Course content will cover AM science, technology, economics and business, and is derived from our industrial practice experience. AM Certificate students will be supported by members of our ADDvisor® Services team whose contributions to the field include certifying flight hardware using AM for series production engines and aircraft.

This program will help provide access to AM to people around the world, and will help take you or your team One Layer Higher, coined appropriately following Purdue’s One Brick Higher motto.

In 1894 the newly built Heavilon Hall, which was then the home of Purdue Engineering, was dedicated. The building featured a tower symbolizing academic excellence. Four days after the dedication, a fire destroyed this new campus landmark. Purdue President James A. Smart rallied spirits on campus by declaring that Heavilon Hall & its tower would be rebuilt "one brick higher."

And it was rebuilt. The new building was completed the following year & featured a tower with a clock & four bells that served as a campus landmark for 60 years.

We look forward to working with Purdue Engineering Online to rally spirits, inspire others, and continue to support the AM community through this new offering.

Boiler up!
