Global AM Expert John Barnes Joins Titomic Board


The Barnes Group Advisors is excited to announced that its Managing Director, John Barnes, has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director of the Board of Titomic Limited (TTT.ASX).  Titomic is the leading provider of large scale, metal additive manufacturing based in Melbourne, Australia.

John Barnes said of his appointment, “I’m really excited to be part of Titomic’s journey and am looking forward to combining my interests in 3D printing, Titanium and product development”.  In 2017, Mr. Barnes started The Barnes Group Advisors, a specialty engineering firm, to help companies advance additive manufacturing, or 3D printing.  His aerospace and Additive Manufacturing background includes successful projects as Vice President of Advanced Manufacturing at Arconic, Director at Australia’s CSIRO, Senior Manager at Lockheed Martin Skunk Works™ and Program Manager at Honeywell Engines.

In Titomic’s Press Release from 30 January, 2018, Chairman, Philip Vafiadis commented on Mr. Barnes’ appointment, “John Barnes is one of additive manufacturing’s global leaders. The appointment is effective as of 1 February and will be for 3 years.
